Napier, last night, Nominations for the Eastern Maori Electorate were received here to-day, the candidates being Wi Pere, James Carroll, Joseph War brick, and Sydney Taiwhanga. The show of hands was as follows ; Carrol, 90 ; Warbriok, 75; Wi Pere, 4 ; Taiwhanga, 4, Carroll will gat a large majority of the votes in this district.
