HANLAN V. GAUDAUR.

THE LITTLE CANADIAN WIPES OUT THE CANADIAN. New Yobe, July 28. Hanlan rowed Gaudaur to-day on Lake Calumet, at Pulman City, Illinois. The course was three miles. The men finished very evenly, but Hanlan won by a length. The time was 29 min. 32 sec. Gaudaur sue. tained some slight injury during the race, the nature of which is not yet fully known. Owing to a heavy fog on the lake, and the lateness of the hour the race was rowed at, the finish took place in semi-darkness.
