Mrs James being left quite unprovided for by her late husband Is to be helped by a subscription, which is now being started. The unfortunate woman has a family ol three children, and is rapidly approaching her confinement. Mr Kirk, In whose employ Mr Jamei was, has generously donated whilst other subscriptions add up to a similar amount. Respecting the assertion made at the inquest that the captain of the Australia might have seen the disaster, the general opinion of those who were on the beach is that he did not, and that no blame attaches to him. The bodies were all buried on Monday, a very large concourse of mourners assembling. The natives are holding a tangi over Ropeana Hautau. Constable McGill reports that the road to Tologa is in a very bad condition, there being several nasty slips near Pakarae, ARRIVAL OF STAGPOOLE AND HAUTAU.
