“HONEYMOON” Starring Shirley Temple, Guy Madison and Franchot Tone, the rousing and Hilarious, romantic comedy “Honeymoon,” is now showing at the Opera House. The story revolves around the efforts of a pair of young Americans to get married in Mexico City. This sounds simple but to accomplish it in the Mexican capital requires . various formalities like health certificates and proper passports, none of which our impetuous young lovers have. Consequently, both have to run to a career man in the American consulate for help each time a new obstacle appears in the path of true love, and that official finds, himself in increasingly hot water with his own fiancee, a pretty and jealous Mexican airl. The results are plenty of trouble for all three principals, and plenty of laughter for the audience as the tale unfolds.

“13 LEAD SOLDIERS”

Bulldog Drummond’s latest mystery melodrama, “13 Lead Soldiers” with Tom Conway and Maria Palmer in the stellar roles, is now showing at the Opera House. The story concerns thirteen lead soldiers when placed in certain positions on a certain stone in a certain house causes some ancient machinery to work and reveal the hiding place of jewellery stacked away by King Harold before the Battle of Hastings, 1066. A young man commits murder in order to get the thirteen soldiers, also a map which tells how to place them on the stone but Bulldog Drummond sees to it that the treasure goes to the right people.
