Greymouth Surf Club Anniversary

The annual meeting of the Greymouth Surf Life Saving Club was held in the club room, Blaketown, on Sunday afternoon, and attracted 16 members. Mr C. Richardson, president, was in the chair. • The chairman’s annual report and treasurer’s balance sheet were adopted. They showed the club to be in a good financial position. All life saving gear was in good order. The chairman welcomed Mr Perry, of the Wellington Swimming Association, who' was now a resident of the district, and who would be an acquisition to the club. The following officers were elected: Patron, Mr J. B. Kent, M.P.; president, Mr C. Richardson; captain, P. Affleck; vice-captain, G. Bennington; secretary, J. S. Cain; treasurer, J. G. Walton; auditor, E. Parfitt; vice-pre-sidents, Messrs E. McDonnell, F. Freitas, J. Rhodes, J. Richardson, I. Quinney, J. Gordon, R. Mills, J. S. Kennedy, F. Manson, W. McClymont. The season opens on Sunday, November 28.
