P.A. INVERCARGILL, Nov. 15. Found guilty on six counts of receiving stolen .property, John Alexander Shanks was sentenced by Mr Justice Kennedy in the Supieme Court to one years reformative detention on eachi count, to be concurrent. , . , , Counsel said that the prisoner had been torn by two duties —his duty to the community and his duty to protect his son who had stolen the property and taken it home.
