Hitler’s half-brother, Alois Hitler, has received permission to change his name to Hans Iller. the Frenchlicensed newspaper, Kuriei, reported. He c aid he had never found the name Hitler any help. It was now a positive disadvantage. Princess Elizebeth left Buckmham Palace by car with the Duke of Edinburgh to dine with friends on Friday night. She drove to Chester street, less than a mile from the palace for dinner with Lord and Lady Brabourne. The princess was a bridesmaid at their wedding in 1916. Mr K. R. C. Fisher returned during the week-end from the North Island, where he had been relieving at the State Mines Department’s office at Ohura. Mr and Mrs E. Caldwell, of Westport, and formerly of Greymouth, who have been visiting Greymouth, left by express during the week-end for Wellington. Passengers to Christchurch during the week-end were Mr and Mrs M. Beswick, Mr J. Lovell, and Miss D. Ledsham, while Mrs A. A. Noble left on return to Taupo.
