LONDON, November 11. Greek guerrillas have abducted Frances McShane, assistant superintendent of road building with the American Aid Mission in Greece, says Reuter’s Athens correspondent. The United Nations Political Committee has unanimously called on all countries to return Greek children to their homes if the children were demanded by their parents, or by their closest relatives, and it was decided that the repatriation of the children shall be carried out through the National Red Cross Organisations. Greece Objects to Dr. Evatt Intervening LONDON, November 11. Greece could not accept any effort by Dr H. V. Evatt (Australia) to mediate in the Balkans dispute, said the Prime Minister of Greece, M. Tsaldaris, to-day, according to an Associated Press Paris correspondent. M. Tsaldaris said that Dr Evatt had “disqualified himself by intervening in purely Greek domestic matters”. He referred to Dr Evatt’s plea for the suspension of the execution of 10 Greek union leaders. He added that he intended to complain to the United Nations Assembly that Dr Evatt, as a non-permanent pre_sident of the Assembly, had no business taking such action without, prior Assembly approval. \ Balkans Talks Proposed in Paris /Rec. 9.55) LONDON, Nov. 12 The United Nations Political Committee adopted an Australian resolution empowering Dr Evatt and M. Trygve Lie to convene immediately talks in Paris on the Balkans for the purpose of seeking a solution ot the Greek conflict.
