N.Z. FLOWERS IN QUEENSLAND

WELLINGTON, Oct 13. Thanks from the Queensland Red Cross for New Zealand flowers flown to their show at Brisbane on September 29 are contained in a letter to the New Zealand secretary, Mr M. S. Galloway. The flowers were sent from the Wellington Botanical Gardens and included tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, kowhai, manuka and clematis. They were flown free of charge by Tasman Empire Airways in response to' a request from the Red Cross. The letter says that the New Zealand flowers carried better than any of the others received and were a great credit to the director of reserves and his staff.
