WESTLAND LAND BOARD’S DECISIONS

At its monthly meeting on Wednesday, the Westland Land Board granted the following applications for Sections 3958, 3855 and 3856, Blk 1, Ahaura S.D., 37 acres 1 rood 38 perches: W. Clayton. Crown land in Blk IX, Arnold S.D., 16 acres (approx.); John Joseph Coulson (licence granted over 12 acres). F. P. Graham, renewable lease over Section 14, Matainui. Sections 17 and 18, Mantinui, 1 rood 10 perches; Mi> C. B. Furcell (application approved for one section only—either Section 17 or Section 18). Applications adjourned were:— . Renewable lease over the following sections in Matainui: Section 12, 1 rood 9.60 perches; Section 13, 1 rood 10 perches; Section 14, 1 rood 10 perches. J. F. Cooper, for a temporary grazing licence over portion if gravel reserve 1063, Blk XVI, Greymouth S.D. TIMBER LICENCES The following timber licences were renewed: — „ Section 322'9, Blk X, Waimea S.D., 18 acres; L. Kelly '"Xp. December 31). Part Section 2765, Blk I, Kopara S.D., 200 acres; A. F. Lemon. Part Section 3325, Block IV, Ahaura S.D., 49 acres; W. J. Me Vicar. The application of the New Forest Sawmilling Company, Ltd., for a licence to cut all millable timber from Section 3095, Block IX, Ahaura S.D., was granted. Cancellations approved were: — Silver pine splitting licence No. 1003, Section 3225, Blk XII, Waimea S.D., 40 acres; N. D. McAllister. Silver pine splitting licence No. 990 over 60 acres, Part Section 3230, Blk XI, Waimea S.D.; Mr Kelly. The Board adjourned until December the application for silver pine splitting licence over Part Section 3229. Blk X, Waimea S.D., 18 acres; by B. Thomson. Transfers adjourned were:— Section 2461, Blk 111, Poerua S.D., 200 acres; Peter Seth Hansen to Charles Otto Hansen. Section 2373, Blk XV, Wataroa S.D., 269 acres, with Reserve 364, Blk XV, Wataroa S.D., 130 acres 3 roods 16 perches; Alfred James Chinn to Mary Lilian Delamain. The area of 163 acres in Blk I, Kaniere S.D., held by Reginald Cox, was reduced by 6 acres 14 perches, and that by H. O. Jef coate, Kaiata, by 40 acres.

Cancellations approved were:— Crown land in Blks XIII and IV, Te Kinga S.D., 18 acres; Mrs I. Cowan.— New licence granted to L. R. Kemp. Sections 1 and 2, Blk 11, Rapahoe, 2 roods; Richard John Parker. Crown land in Blk I, Kaniere S.D., 246 acres; Mrs V. E. Boyd.—New licence granted to A. F. Dale and E. A. Dale.

Application for Section 3738, Blk XI, Hohonti S.D., 2 acres, by E. L. Morgan (Lake Brunner) was adjourned. An application by Edward Matthews for a permanent title over 3 roods 01.5 perches, Section I, Red Jacks, was refused, and the temporary licence cancelled as from October 31 next.
