“In New Zealand to-day there are strong Left Win- elements which are violent]’ - opposed to all forms of private enterprise, said Mr. Steer, after ,ns election as President. “Industrial unions, controlled by avowed Communists, are forcing their views, and exerting pressure on the powers that be,” he said. “They do not always operate openly, but use insidious means. We must watch them very carefully.” It was decided to hold the next con'erence at Franz Josef Glaciei.
