Whitebait supplies have improved reports our Hokitika correspondent during the past two days. Most ot the trench fishermen have secured fair hauls. Reports from Jackson s Bay, the Haast and Okuru indicate that, runs in South Westland have improved also. Sea and river conditions have been almost perfect, and a continuance of the present weather should see the catches further improve.
