Mr and, Mrs W. Sanders, Invercargill, left on return last evening after a holiday visit to the West Coast.
Dr G. A. Delatour, Medical Officer of Health for the East Cape district, has been appointed medical superintendent by the Waiapu Hospital Board in succession to Dr E. C. Grant.
The Prime Minister of New Zealand (Mr P. Fraser) left Sydney late on Tuesday evening by Qantas Constellation airliner for London. His departure from Sydney was delayed for three days because of the annual inspection of the aircraft for the granting of a certificate of air worthiness.
