Destruction of Kopara Sawmill May Effect Housing Programme
The destruction of the Kopara sawmill at Charleston may have an adverse effect on housing projects in Westport. Over a period of six months the mill had supplied 240,00 U superficial feet of timber, or enougn to build 30 houses. It may be possible to get supplies from Karamea pending a decision by the Kopara Company as to whether it will resume opeiations.
