“Wanganella” Salvage Claims Settled

WELLINGTON, October 4. The agreement made out of court last Friday between the Eastbourne Borough Council, the mastei’ and crew of the C'obar, and the underwriters and owners of the Wanganella in connection with the salvage of the vessel was minuted by the Chief Justice, Sir Humphrey O’Leary> in the Supreme Court, sitting in its Admiralty jurisdiction to-day. The sum of £350 is to be paid into court in settlement of this claim. This sum includes costs, and is to be apportioned between the Eastbourne Borough Council and the master and crew of the Cobar. The original i claim was for £2OOO. |
