Eight Days’ Towing Still Required By The “Fernmoor”
PA. “ AUCKLAND, Oct. 4 The long tow by the P. and O. Line motorship, “Palana” of the disabled British freighter, “Fernmoor” continued uneventfully to-day. The master of the “Palana,” Captain Spurr, stated in his daily radio message, that 'h <1 day’s run was 122 miles. The weather was fine, but a considerable south-westerly swell was reducing the ' J| The two ships were to-day 1080 miles from the New Zealand A/ast The-A should reach Auckland at the end of their 2200 mile journey in about eight days.
