Saturday’s passengers at Westport were: For Wellington, Mr S. King, Mr G. Douglas; for Palmerston North, Mrs J. Cordiner and infant, Master R. Cordiner; for Auckland, Mr T. Riley. Mr W. A. Smith, Christchurch, is visiting Westport. The death occurred suddenly at the Buller Hospital on Saturday morning of Mr Andrew David Patterson. A native of Lumsden, Southland, he was 49 years of age and was a single man. Mr Patterson was in the employ of the Public Works Department for some years. He leaves three brothers, George (Stockton) and Robert and William (Invercargill): also four sisters, Mesdames McKeown (Westport), Moir (Invercargill), Milne (Dunedin) and Emery (Wellington).
