P.A. AUCKLAND, Oct. 3 Western Suburbs, the champion Rugby League club team of Sydney, suffered their second defeat at Carlaw Park, yesterday, Mount Albert winning by 10 points to 2. The first spell was played in a downpour of rain, and the ground was almost water-logged. The visitors erred by attempting to play dry weather football in the rain. Tries for Mount Albert were scored by Cranch and Kay. Wiles converted one, and Tocker kicked a penalty goal. Keato kicked a penalty goal for Western Suburbs. Australian Tourists Defeat Salford

(Rec. 6.20) LONDON, Oct. 2 The Australian Rugby League team to-day defeated Salford by 13 points to 2. They won after a very hard game. The Australians had the upper hand for most of the time.
