' From as for north as the “Burma Road,” beyond Stockton, to South Westland, the mountains and low ranges are covered with heavy snow, which has been responsible for the continued low temperatures. When conditions cleared yesterday in Greymouth, Mt. Davy was seen to be carrying an unusually heavy fall, and other nearby ranges all have snow lying on them. In the Buller district, the tops ot the ranges are all coated and yesterday morning there was a heavy fall at the open-cast coal mim. at the “Burma Road.” , Further south, there have been heavy falls on the Southern Alps and on the ranges to the west.
