Final Pay-out on Honey Supplies
P.A. WELLINGTON, October 1. The final payment for honey supplies to the Marketing Department in the 1947-48 season would be- 2)d per lb. announced the Minister of Marketing, the Hon. E. L. Cullen, to-day. For 1948-49 advance payments would be made at the rate of seven pence per lb. pro rata, according to grade, plus 25d per lb. at a flat rate. In addition a bonus of one-six-teenth pence per lb. for 20 cases of one extraction increasing to onetwelfth pence per lb. for 21 cases and over would be paid. The Minister added that a further statement on final payments for next year’s supplies would be made at the end of the season. _____
