PAKISTAN PREMIER ACCUSES HINDUS OF WARLIKE AMBITIONS
LONDON, September 30. Pakistan had no bellicose intentions against any country, said the Pakistan Premier, Liaquat Ali Khan, addressing a gathering of servicemen at Rawalpindi to-day, reports Reuter’s corresoondent.
Referring to the Kashmir dispute with India, the Premier declared that Pakistan had agreed to a plebiscite, even though “by all the canons of reasoning,” the State should have automatically formed part of Pakistan.
He added: “We want to settle th Kashmir problem by methods of peace and goodwill, but India wants to settle it by the sword. India has repeatedly talked platitudinous! about seeking recourse to a plebiscite in Kashmir, but has persistently refused to give form to hex’ professions.”
