Chile’s Third Base Established in Antarctic

(Received September 30, 10.0 p.m.) SANTIAGO (Chile), Sept. 29 Chile announced to-day that she would establish a third base in the Antarctic. _ The first was established on Greenwich Island in 1947, and the second on Grahamland, in February. President Gonzalez said to-day that the new base, which is to be in tne interior, and used as a weather station, was designed “to maintain our rights and sovereignty m that region.
