MAORI ELECTORAL ROLL

WELLINGTON', Sept. 21. In the House to-night Mr T. C. Webb (Nat., Rodney) discussed the vote for the Electoral Department. He asked if the preparation of a Maori roll was in hand, and would it be prepared in time for use at the general election next year. Mr Fraser said this matter was well in hand, and the roll would be readv for the election. "It will make th e Maori elections more satisfactory than ever,” he said. Mr Holland: “That is very satisfactory to us.”
