OTAGO LAUNCH AGROUND IN FOG

P.A. • DUNtsDIN, September 20. After being aground on a sand bank in the Otago Harbour for five hours, a 110-ton Fairmile pleasure launch was towed off at high tide at one o’clock this morning. The Fairmile, with 100 passengers on board, was on a regular Sunday night excursion when heavy fog came up and it was decided tn turn back while off Mussel Bay. It was then that, the Fairmile stuck. The nassoneers were rowed ashore without difficulty. The launch vias svbsenuentlv billed off the bank and taken to Port Chalmers. It is understood that it was’not damaged.
