CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 19. W. G. Argus received an inquiry to his right foot when playing in the final All Black trial on Saturday and will not be available to play for. Canterbury against South Canterbury next Saturday. Argus arrived in Christcliurch with his injured foot' in plaster. -It is not known if any bones were broken. He may not be able to play for the South Island against the North Island on October 2.

WELLINGTON, Sept. 20. The takings at the final Rugby trial at Athletic Park on Saturday were just under £2600, giving an official estimated attendance of between 20,000 and 25,000.
