£1000 GIFT FOR NURSES’ COTTAGE
P.A. BLENHEIM, September 20. An anonymous gift of £lOOO to provide a seaside 'cottage for nurses in the board’s employment was received at this afternoon’s meeting of the Marlborough Hospital Board The board accepted the gift, with thanks, one member remarking.— “This is a magnificnt gesture. It is unusual, in these times, to receive such a gift. It was decided to set up a special committtee to prepare a scheme for meeting the donor’s intention.
