CRICKET AUSTRALIA EASILY DEFEATS SCOTLAND:
Bradman’s Matchless .123 (Rec. 6.30) LONDON, Sept. 18. Australia defeated Scotland at Aberdeen by an innings and 87 runs. Bradman closed his cricket career in Britain with a matchless 123 not out, scored in 87 minutes. Bradman declared when Austi’alia had scored 407 for six, giving the bowlers the task of dismissing the Scots for a second time in three and a-quarter hours. Victory came with 40 minutes to spare. The Australian captain gave the crowd good value for its money by withholding the shock bowlers, and giving Ring, Brown, Morris, Tallon and Harvey most of the bowling. lan Johnson did an excellent job as wicket-keeper.
