Bolting Racehorse Injures Eleven People at Rosehill
(Rec. 6.40) SYDNEY, Sept. 18. When he took fright and bolted from the saddling paddock at Rosehill course yesterday, the three-year-old colt, Dynamite, injured eleven people. Six were treated at the course casualty room; and two were sent to hospital. . Dynamite was scared by a piece ot paper, which blew around his legs as the jockey was about to mount him for the Rosehill Guineas. He tore off his bridle and smashed through a crowd of owners, trainers and officials in the paddock. The colt hit the weighing enclosure fence. Then he galloped back to jump the gate at the other end of the saddling paddock. He next ran through a tote queue to a clearing at the back of the public stand. A horse-breaker finally seized him in a headlock and held him until the attendants arrived- .
