Terrorist Policy of Communists in Germany

(Rec 9.5 p.m.) LONDON, Sept 18. The Western-sponsored press has reported that the German Communists are conducting a great wave of terror, from which several nonCommunists have fled to the Western zone. These fugitives include Friedrich Schneider, of the Liberal Democratic Party. Gangs of young Communists raided newspaper stands in the Berlin borough of. Weissensee in the Russian sector, and tore up all copies of the Western-licensed newspapers. The youths told the newspaper sellers that if they did not stop selling Western licensed newspapers, their stands would be smashed, or set on fire. RUSSIAN THREATS In Berlin, the Russian propaganda Chief, Colonel Tulpanov, has made threats of dire consequences to the German people, for the recent antiCommunist demonstrations in Berlin. He said: “Moscow takes an extremely serious view of the antiRussian attitude of the mass meeting of 300,000 Berliners. “For every dollar of United States aid that' you receive, you can expect to pav with one human life. People should understand that the United States, in return for her economic heln. will demand support by German soldiers, in a new wax' shexjs preparing.”
