FRENCH PROBLEMS
PARIS, Sept IS. About 90 per cent, of the 35,000 strikers at the Renault car factory have resumed work.
The spate of strikes throughout the country is now easing. The strikof 250.000 metal workers in Paris has ended.
The Premier, Dr. Queuille, won the first round of the “save the franc’.’ driye ’when the Assembly’s Finance Committee approved his new plan by 22 votes to 12. The Assembly will not debate the plan which aims to raise £65,000,01)3 new revneue. Dr. Queuill e will meet leading trade unionists to discuss and means of solving the recurring financial and industrial unrest.
