Mrs W. Harris is a patient at the Grey River Hospital. Mrs Regan and Mrs Marr, Christchurch were recent guests of Mr and Mrs B. Robertson.

Mrs J. Young has been admitted to the Reefton Hospital. Mr G. Hocking, Christchurch, is visiting his sister, Mrs Moriarty. A basketball field day will be held to-day when several teams from Reefton will compete. Recent visitors to Greymouth were Mr and Mrs Dobbin, Mesdames Hayward, Devescovi, Sadler and Mr and Mrs Harvey. At the recent general meeting of the Waiuta Consumers’ Co-op Society, the secretary, Mr W. Gidley presided over a large attendance of members. A very satisfactory balance sheet was presented. The profit for the. last six monthly period was about £4OO and a dividend of Is 6d in the £ on all goods purchased was declared. This is an increase on previous dividends. The Waiuta section of the Inangahua Miners’ Union' will hold its annual meeting here to-flay, when a large gathering is expected.
