FIRST WHITEBAIT RUNS OF SEASON AT GREYMOUTH
Although the present whitebait season is more than six weeks advanced yesterday was the first occasion on which good runs were experienced m the Grey River. • Several fishermen secured over halt fi kerosene tin full and many others had .satisfying catches of smaller quantities. Similar catches were secured at Hokitika on Thursday and it is reported that South Westland whitebaiters are now beginning to. secure good hauls almost every day.
