U.S. TO COUNTER COMMUNIST MOVES IN SOUTH-EAST ASIA
(Rec. 10.0) WASHINGTON, Sept. 17. The State Department to-night warned the Nationalists of Southeast Asia that they are being tricked by Communist leaders, and, by joining current disturbances in Malaya and elsewhere they were risking “ruthless interference in their internal affairs by international Communist organisations.” The warning was given by a State Department spokesman who said that United States counter-measures had been planned. ______
