ALL Poisons covered by the third schedule of the Poisons (General) Regulations, 1937 (the more common ones of which are shown in the schedule below), may be sold by Storekeepers only if they are holders of a Storekeeper’s Poison License. The selling of these poisons without the possession of a license renders the retailer liable to prosecution. Application forms for licenses are obtainable from the Department of Health, P.O. Box 1309, Christchurch. SCHEDULE. Common Third Schedule Poisons which may be sold only by holders of a Storekeeper's Poison License. Arsenical Sheep Dips. Dins which contain carbolic Acid, Phenol or Cresol of a strength of 60 per cent, or over. Arsenate of Lead. Paris Green. Nicotine. Nicotine Sulphate (Black Leaf 40). Weed Killers containing Arsenic (e.g. Acme Weed Killer, etc.) Corrosive Sublimate (Mercuric Chloride) for use in making antiseptic wash. Drenches containing poisons (e.g. N.C.A. Drench). Strong tincture of iodine. Poisoned Grain for Birds. Worm cures and remedies for stock generally which contain poisons.
