JET AIR-LINERS EXPECTED IN FIVE YEARS
BRUSSELS, Sept. 15.
Jet driven air-liners, cruising at more than five hundred miles an hour, wcnald-jDe possible within a few years, Air Commodore Sir Frank Whittle told the International Air Transport Association. He urged airline corporations to prepare to operate such aircraft as soon as the method of handling air traffic has improved, and to prepare, almost at once, for aircraft with turbine driven propellers.
