RUGBY FOOTBALL McLean Shield Match To he at Hokitika

' The West Coast Rugby Union last evening decided to plav the McLean Shield maatch at Hokitika on September 25. Present at the meeting were:— Messrs F. W. Baillie (chair), A. M. Jamieson, W. Williams, H. Cliff or a, J. Jackson, E. Todd, A. King, W. Blair, R. Buist, B. Watkins, S. McDonnell and O. Scott (secretary). An application for reinstatement was forwarded with a favourable recommendation to the New Zealand Union. 1 It was decided that Mr O. Scott represent the Union at the meeting being called regarding McLean Park ground at Blaketown. Hokitika fourth graders were granted permission to play White Star (Westport) on September 25. Mr F. Foster jnr., donated a shield for the winning team in the eighth grade competition, and was thanked. It was decided that the Seddon. Shield o team should leave Greymouth at 1.30 p.m. Friday, September 17, for Westport. It was resolved that a letter ■ of thanks, be sent to Messrs H. Webster and W.
