WEST GERMANY MAY GET TRADE ASSISTANCE FROM WEST EUROPE
(Received September 7, 10.45 p.m.) GENEVA, September 7. Fifteen out of twenty-two nations which are holding trade and tarfft talks in Geneva have approved, the text of a multilateral treaty giving to Western Germany the “most favoured nation treatment.” The Australian and New Zealand delegates voted for it, but they explicitely pointed out that such an agreement should not be considered as a precedent if the case of Japan should ever be discussed.
