The Community Centre men’s hockey team was beaten for the first in the Stephen Memorial Cup Competition when Westport won a fairly keen" match on Kilkenny Park, by two goals to nil. Matches played in other parts of the Buller district resulted as follows: — Men’s Section: . x Wesley beat Kiwi, at Denniston, 1-0. • Rivals beat Mokihinui, 4-2. Rangers beat Rovers, 3-0. Women’s Section: Marsden beat Kiwi, 3-0. Mokihinui beat Ngakawau, 2-0. Koronui beat Rovers, 3-0.
