Youth Club Boxing Tournament at Westport
Good boxing was witnessed at a tournament staged by the Westport Police Youth Club in the Theatre Royal on Saturday. •Results:—C. Duncan (P.Y.C.), Wingate Cup; J. King (P.Y.C.), Dellaca Cup; L. Warren (P.Y.C.), Gibbs Cup; A. Kitto (P.Y.C.), Head Cup; I. Patterson (Nelson), Hegarty Cup; N. Robinson (Nelson), cup for best loser; P.Y.C. trophy cup; T. Roper (Nelson), Medal; Easton (Granity), Slee trophy; N. Tredennick (P.Y.C.), trophy; J. Williams (P.Y.C.), trophy; R Collins (Granity (trophy); R. Stuart (P.Y.C.), trophy. , x The most exciting bout of the night was that between C. Duncan 9.7, and N. Robinson 9.2. Duncan, a hard hitting boxer, had his opponent down for the count of nine in the three rounds, and easily won the Wingate Cup.
