HOCKEY N.Z. WOMEN'S FINALS IN CHAMPIONSHIPS

P.A. DUNEDIN, September 3. Canterbury A beat Wellington by three goals to one in the finals of the K Cup in the women’s hockey premiership, at Dunedin to-day. Canterbury put on the pressure in the second spell and wore down the Wellington defence by relentless forward play. Scorers for Canterbury were N. McKenzie (2), and B. Appleton one. Wellington’s goal was scored by D. Gray. The final of the Mills Cup for the minor section resulted in a win for Eastern Southland, which beat Can-terbury-Malvern by five goals to three in a fast and exciting game.
