WEDDING

The wedding took place recently at St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Greymouth, of Mary, 'only daughter of Mr and Mrs G. Thompson, of Greymouth, and Thomas Peter, second son of Mr and the late Mrs T. Vincent, of Ross, Revt. T. G. Campbell officiated and Mrs Daniels presided at the organ. The church waS tastefully decorated with arum lilies and spring flowers. The bride, escorted by her father, wore a gown of white french cloque, cut on simple lines, the rucked yke of gorgette finished'with fine lace, as was the waistlfne and peaked sleeves, and the skirt falling into a train. Her veil of cut tulle, held in place by a coronet of orange blossoms, formed a second train. She wore a beautiful and very old cameo, a gift from her grandmother, and brought out from England to be worn on the occasion. A shower bouquet of freesias, stock and spring flowers was carried. She was attended by her sister-m--low, Mrs Gladys Thompson, as mat-ron-of-honour, wearing a frock of powder blue silk crepe, and, Miss Helen Thomson, as bridesmaid, in lavender. They wore matching sprays in their hair and carried bouquets of spring flowers., Mr R-ov Vincent was best man, and Mr Bob’ Thompson was groomsman. The reception was held in Harker’s Lounge, where the guests were received by the bride’s mother, who was dressed in a turquoise ensemble with matching hat. Her shoulder spray was cyclamen and daphne. She was assisted by the bridegroom’s sister, Mrs J. Morris, who was attired in a rose pink suit and a black hat. She wore a shoulder spray of lemon abutilbns. For travelling the bride wore a mustard' frock under a moss green coat with rust accessories. Mr and Mrs T. P. Vincent left by car for Nelson and Christchurch.
