Farm Prices Higher In Canada
OTTAWA, August 30. The index number of prices received by Canadian farmers for agricultural products, on the base 1935-39—100, advanced to a new high level of 239.3 during May as compared with 234.2 a month earlier and 199.8 a year ago, according to the Dominion Bureau of Statistics. The composite- index number of commodities and services used by farmers, including living Co , sts ’ 10 nc the base 1935-39-100, rose |o 182.2 in April, an advance of 26.1 points over April last year, according to the Bureau of Statistics. The index for equipment and materials lose from 1401 to 172.9. Farm wage ?at£ from 350.5 to 377 4 and t«n> living costs from 1364. <.
