The weather report is as follows: — Situation: A tropical cyclone, centred north of Nortl; Cape, is moving slowly south-east, and a ridge of high pressure, over the South Island, is losing its intensity. The fore • cast to 5 p.m. on Wednesday is for easterly winds, strong in exposed positions. The weather will be dull ■and cool. Further outlook: Overcast, with some rain developing.
