CZECH REGIME’S ACTION AGAINST HEAD OF MONASTERY

PRAGUE. Aug. 27. Security police announced that they have arrested 11 persons in the southern Moravian town of Znoj’mo including the prior of the Znojmo monastery. Father Antonin Zemek, for alleged connectoin with an organisation directing the escape of political refugees. The statement said: The Peoples Party and other Roman Catholic organisations set up an escape organisation. Znojmo monastery was a scene of underground activities, where would-be escapees made contacts and went into hiding untrl a border crossing was arranged. Escapees made contact with another monastery in Vienna, where they handed over reports \ ron } Czechoslovakia to German members of the ecclesiastical order concerned.
