One insurgent was killed and sixteen were arrested yesterday when a combined police and military force discovered a well-disguised jungle hideout in the Kualakubu district. 50 miles north of Kualalumpur. More Chinese have applied for permission to form their own Johore Chinese auxiliary police force to help the authorities to combat terrorism. Observers believe this is an imr portant development in the Malayan political situation, in which the majority of the large Chinese populace thusfar has remained inactive in the face of the terrorist challenge to the Government.
