The timber is strapped in bundles each weighing a ton. This method has several advantages. It cuts loading time, and therefore costs, and also makes its disposal easier in ports where timber is sold from the wharf An official of the State Forestry Service said that plans were being developed for a considerable increase during the next few years in the export of pinus.
