COMMUNIST PLANS FOR POLAND AND CZECHOSLOVAKIA
(Rec 10.5 p.m.) LONDON, Aug 9. A Council of Polish-Czechoslovak Economic collaboration, after a two days conference in Warsaw, onder the chairmanship of the Polish Minister of Industry and with the participation of the Czech Minister of Foreign Trade, has concluded a new' agreement, which, short of a customs union, virtually links the both countries into one economic whole. This is stated by The Times correspondent at Warsaw, w r ho says that all long-term planning for bom countries, as well as the production and investment problems, will be coordinated in the closest form. A joint five-year economic plan is visualised, with an ultimate turn-over of £lOO,000.000 sterling a year also the aivision of certain production between industries that are best fitted in both countries to avoid overlapping, and the pooling of all raw resources also technical and managerial experience and manpower where necessary, both in industry and agriculture.
