Late Buller News Small Bore Rifles

Results of the “Own Start” postal shoot held recently by the New Zealand Small Bore Rifle Association showed that the No. one team from the local club was placed third, one point behind the winners.- Studholme, No. one, scored 498 ex-500. Petone Central No. one were second with 497. Team members for Westport Nu. on-, were: L. Hutchison, R. Cunningham, N. Perkins. D. J. Cunningham ana J. R. Keoghan. Total score, 49?. The No. two team shot well io record om;? one point less. 496, and were wei: placed at tenth on the list which included almost 160 entries from an parts of the Dominion. No 2 team members were: R. F. Marshall, N. Palmer, D. Marr, B. H. Flynn and D. G. Bain. The weekly shoot of the Westport Small Bore Club again produced some excellent cards, the notable ones being N. Palmer and L. Hutchison’s possibles of 100. Both targets had six central bulls. Three members were only one point down. N. Perkins, R. F. Marshall and J. R. Keoghan. Ron Powell, 96, was the best of the junior shots and Miss Walker was consistent with 95 in the ladies’ section. Scores were as follows: N. Palmer, rille score 100, handicap total 100; L.
