GOLF Interprovincial Women’s Match
P.A. GISBORNE, August 9. Poverty Bay defeated Hawkes B - by 12 points to 6 in the women's interprovincial golf match at Awapuni Units, played in shower' weather. Poverty Bay won two of three foursomes in the morning an won four of six singles in the afternoon. Results:— Foursomes. —Mrs R. F. Hutchinson and Mrs R. G. Robb (P. 8. defeated Mrs G. Cross and Miss M. Jeffere (H. 8. 3 and 2; Mrs Watson and Mrs N. Schroeder (H. 8. defeated Airs J. Hutchinson and Mrs G. H. Kemp (P. 8. 2 and 1; Mrs L. Winter and Mrs T. J.
