CRICKET WARWICK’S GOOGLY BOWLER DISMISSES AUSTRALIANS

LONDON, Aug. 5. The match between the Australians ancl Warwickshire was drawn. A break of 35 minutes because of rain soon alter tea probably robbed the Australians of victory, after one of the most eventful days of the tour. Warwickshire’s googly bowler, Hollies, did some devastating bowling early in the day when the pitch was made to order for spinners. The Australian innings sagged spectacularly after Bradman and Hassett had carefully carried the overnight score of 90 for two wickets to 116. Hollies then bowled Bradman and Harvey with successive balls. Australia, after the series of disasters in the middle of the innings was 116 runs ahead when the innings ended for 254. The county then lost three for 46 in its second innings, with a possible two nours left before stumps,, when rain fell. The rain spoiled McCool’s chance of emulating Hollies.
